Clubs and social environment

Please tell us more about the social environment, sports clubs and societies and anything else you think candidates need to know about life at your university.

2016

"As I went to another university before transferring to Westminster, I can compare it to my previous uni and say Westminster isn't as active. There's not a lot of excitement around it and, since the timetable is kind of all over the place, it can be difficult to get involved."
"There's a lot to choose from including American football, cheerleading, smoke TV and smoke radio etc. The list goes on as there are plenty of societies etc you can join to keep busy in."
"The social environment is amazing as everyone wants to help each other in any way they can. Also, my university has a gym on campus so it makes sporting clubs easy to join."
"There's a good amount of sports clubs but not as many societies for non-sports."
"It's quite poorly advertised so I regularly have no idea if there's anything going on or not."
"My university offers plenty of clubs that are mainly focused on professional and sporting qualities."
"There needs to be more promotion of these to avoid people missing opportunities."
"There are different sports teams for both men and women as well as different extracurricular clubs such as choirs and law societies etc."
"Societies and sports clubs are available but membership is expensive and it's not always easy to travel between campuses in time for when clubs start because of the distances."
"You have to put in effort to meet new people as societies are not always that active but they are good if you can make the time to get there."
