University of the West of Scotland
How would you rate your university towns night life?
5.2 / 10
(based on ratings in 2016)
"Paisley has a lot of pubs next to the university and Glasgow is only ten minutes away."
"There isn't much nightlife in Paisley so most students resort to Glasgow for entertainment. It's worth to note that, if you like games or board games, there is ComicCrazy, which is a place near Gilmour Street where you can go with friends, buy comics and play board games."
"There are many pubs around campus, as well as a few nightclubs that are quite a walk away. Sometimes, the uni/students association will hold parties or some get togethers for a night, which is great for meeting new people especially during freshers week. There is always something on during freshers' week so don't worry."
"We have a few bars, a small shopping centre and some swimming baths."
"There's the cinema and shops but not much nightlife locally."
"There's a beach."
"Not very much is available here."
"We've got many places for breakfast and lunch as well as great cafes and plenty of pubs."
"If you go to Glasgow then there is a never-ending list of things to do and my campus is only twenty minutes from the town centre by train so there is always something to get into."
"Anyone in Paisley will agree that, if they want to go out, they will take the train to Glasgow. Paisley has no nightlife or social presence, which is a shame."
