University of Sussex

About the institution

The University of Sussex is situated on a single campus surrounded by the South Downs National Park. It’s around four miles from Brighton, with its pebble beach and lively nightlife. The university opened in 1961 and many of its original buildings now have listed status. Areas of research strength include English, psychology, geography and history. Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club’s stadium is next to the university, while sporting opportunities for students include aerial yoga, bouldering and trapeze.
