"Glasgow has everything. There are Wetherspoons and cheap pubs as well as more upmarket places for a more special occasion. Places vary from quiet pubs to chat in to pubs with live music varying from R&B to rock. It's mostly free entry for bars and there are student nights in the clubs. There's a good gay scene too."
"There's a whole street of clubs a 10-minute walk from student accommodation."
"The nightlife in Glasgow is amazing! The nights out are super fun and very cheap."
"The town is full of bars and clubs of all varieties and there is also a range of music venues with the biggest and smallest always playing."
"The city's most popular clubs and pubs are on the university's doorstep. Many of these places include student discounts."
"There are many places to go to in Glasgow, including many bars and restaurants in Ashton Lane in the west end. Even staying within walking distance, all the student nightclubs and bars are in the Sauchiehall area, the Merchant City area or the Argyle Street area. A wide variety is on offer, from price to type of music."
"There's so much to choose from that there's something for everyone."
