Please comment on the support you’ve had from the careers services, the type of employers that present and recruit on campus, the effectiveness of the alumni network, as well as fairs and on-campus recruitment activity.
"I went to an hour long appointment with the careers office but it turned out that I had already signed up to the websites they recommended so really they could only give me a worksheet to reflect on my skills and qualities. I didn't feel I was given much in the way of actual advice or help. There are occasional stalls on campus for companies looking to hire and unis looking for postgrad students."
"I've had one careers meeting and it was quite useful. They're very welcoming."
"The careers service is really helpful in regards to helping with CVs and cover letters. They also offer advice about interviews and presentation skills for internships and placements."
"I have received many talks from the general teaching council for Scotland about what to expect when I apply for teaching after graduating. Employers do come for days on campus and open stalls so everyone can ask questions."
"We had several meetings with people from inside industries. Networking is encouraged."
"The careers service has been very helpful and held lots of events."
