"Wide variety of shops, which provides a large range of products as well as good pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlours etc. Also Jesters, the worst nightclub in the UK, but also one of the most popular. Sobar is a great night out on a Tuesday."
"Historical wall, shopping, parks, paintball, take the ferry to the Isle of Wight etc."
"There is a wide selection of night clubs and pubs in Southampton. There are also a number of restaurants and cafes of almost every cuisine imaginable."
"There are clubs and bars and student nights on every night of the week. All at excellent prices."
"There are many clubs, 12 well known ones. There is a massive shopping centre that has almost all the shops and, if they are not in that building, then they are on the high street. There are many really nice restaurants. There is also a casino, bowling alley and cinema near the edge of town, which is a bit more of a trek to get to."
"Nice parks for running or walking – Ocean Village is nice too. Apart from that, not much during the day. As for the nightlife, there are plenty of clubs close to each other. Really lively every day of the week."
"Most students go to Clowns, Jesters and Sobar for clubbing. There's a wide variety of other clubs with a busy scene in the town centre at Bedford place and a few other clubs such as Switch, Oceana, Cafe Parfait and Junk, for example. If clubbing is not your thing, there are loads of pubs around and loads of non-drinking things to do such as the Oxigen trampoline park, Marwell Zoo, visiting Winchester or the Isle of Wight or walking in the New Forest or around the city's many parks."
"It's really good. There're lots of different clubs offering student nights, there's always something different for each night of the week."
"Bedford place is home to the classier clubs in Southampton, with Oceana quite out of the way and down close to the docks. Engine Rooms is situated close to Oceana and is the venue for many live acts and nights such as Itchy Feet, which are very popular. In Portswood, there are the infamous student clubs of Jesters and Sobar (both very disgusting but cheap)."
"There is a range of things to do, from shopping at West Quay to going down to the docks. You can go on nights out and go for dessert at Sprinkles!"
