About the institution
The University of South Wales was formed in 2013 from the merger of the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. It has campuses in Newport, Cardiff and Pontypridd. Its degrees include many that focus on art, design, film, performing arts and the media. Technical courses include aircraft maintenance engineering, run in partnership with British Airways. The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, based in the grounds of Cardiff Castle, is also part of the university.
