Clubs and social environment

Please tell us more about the social environment, sports clubs and societies and anything else you think candidates need to know about life at your university.

2016

"There is something for everyone to do and enjoy and, if you find that there is something you want, you can start a club yourself."
"There are not many social clubs (no book society) and the existing ones do very little. Sports societies are very big, however, and do many things from socials to events around campus."
"There is a lot on offer at the university including a wide variety of societies. If there isn't the one you want, you can also set up your own, which I think is really good."
"There are lots of social clubs and sports clubs that you can join to help you to make friends."
"I have only joined one society so far, which is the gaming society, but I'm glad I did as I've met some really great friends from it."
"There are many sports societies, from rugby to cheerleading. There are some random societies too such as pilot flying and ultimate frisbee."
"There appears to be a society for just about anything. They make good use of the brand new sports centres and facilities in the new student accommodation area."
"There are so many different sports teams that make good use of the gym."
"The social environment is lovely, and there are enjoyable sport activities and international societies."
"There are many sports clubs and societies at the university. However, I do feel they need to be more active. I am a member of the law society and they rarely have any events."
