"The union on campus is good for various nights out plus two or three other clubs have nights out throughout the week. There are plenty of pubs around hosting pub quizzes, karaoke and open mic nights etc."
"There are lots of pubs and clubs such as Envy etc. The place is somewhat upbeat, especially if you stay around the campus."
"There's a good mix of cheaper clubs and cosy pubs."
"The union seems popular and safe."
"The University of Dundee has got a lively students' union that coordinates the clubs and weekend pub activities."
"There are events on most nights but there are only three or four nightclubs that are really popular for students so it gets a little boring because there is nothing new."
"There's a variety of cultural attractions and museums."
"A number of nightclubs offer a different range of music styles and themed nights. Numerous pubs and bars are open until late with student prices."
"There used to be more choice but there's less now that some places have closed."
"Clubs like Liquid, Underground, Reading Rooms and Yuppies are all great places to visit. There are also tons of places available for cocktails so, if you are looking for cheap yet very good cocktails, there is Braes, Boudoir and Superstore. If you are looking for more sophisticated cocktails there is Jamjar and Fat Sams."
"You can go to the gym, go shopping or go swimming (Olympus). There are also nightclubs and heaps of bars, pubs and restaurants."
"There isn't much more than restaurants and shops."
"Various pubs and clubs are available around town."
"The one draw back is that Dundee is small but it's currently being revamped, with a cinema and mall on the way."
"It's a small city but there's a wide range of bars and pubs etc that are really great and cater to all your needs. Nightclubs are not as big or varied as the larger cities, however."
"The nightlife is not particularly active here."
