"We have a decent nightlife and there are plenty of good pubs to choose from. The facilities are centralised on the main campus and are adequate for the size of the uni. The accommodation can be poor depending on what you get allocated as some is dated but I had a good experience with mine. There are plenty of shops plus great links to Liverpool and Manchester."
"It's a bit troublesome getting to and from campus during rush hour, but that's to be expected in a city. The library has been extended and modernised but is still lacking good computers and areas that feel welcoming. The new section of the library gets quite noisy so I would avoid using it when it's busy. There's lots to do including restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance. You can also walk along the walls and visit Grosvenor Park and Chester Zoo is only a short drive or bus ride away. The city has a good train system with links to major stations nearby."
"The facilities are OK and the new library is good, though it's still hard to get computers during busy hours. The student accommodation is average unless it's one of the two expensive ones. The campus is central so there's a copious amount of things to do on a daily basis."
"We're perfectly situated near the city and accommodation. There's not a huge amount of things to do without getting on a bus."
"It's in a stunning location with huge fields of sheep and an old castle."
"It's a historic city with lots of cafés and restaurants. It's good for shopping with Chester Zoo nearby. There are not that many nightclubs but lots of day-time activities are available."

"You are close to everything you need."
"The uni is very close to the town centre and everything is within walking distance. Chester has great access to other cities too."
"Campus is in a good location but being down at Riverside isn't great."
"It's an excellent location with on-site accommodation, the only problem is that there's not enough of it (student accommodation I mean)."
"I've not been impressed by the facilities or student accommodation. Transport links are also outdated and in need of an upgrade."
"Accommodation has been a big negative talking point throughout my time. The location is fine and the facilities are excellent though."
"It's a good city location, the main campus is clean and small but lacks places to sit outside of lecture halls and the library. Facilities are pretty poor and the renovation of the library has merely added unusable space and a coffee shop. Accommodation varies greatly and costs vary greatly to reflect this."
"The location in town is fantastic as everything is close by including the uni and shopping centres. There's no need to spend a lot on transportation."
"It's a city campus. The law school is not on campus but isn't far away and is easy to get to. The library facilities are great and the lecture theatres are well equipped overall. The SU is fantastic and student accommodation is fine."
"We're in a good location in Chester city centre with lots of facilities."
