University of Bradford
Please comment on the support you’ve had from the careers services, the type of employers that present and recruit on campus, the effectiveness of the alumni network, as well as fairs and on-campus recruitment activity.
"The university has provided us with numerous opportunities to network with individuals in and out of the legal sector. I was also provided with the opportunity to be mentored by a solicitor in a well recognised law firm; this enabled me to obtain work experience and possibly secure a training contract. The careers advisers are very friendly and are willing to help you with job applications and improving your CV (yes, that means the numerous hours you put into creating your CV can be destroyed in a few minutes, but for the better and to increase your chances of getting a job)."
"There's a great careers service and we get career-orientated modules in our final year."
"The careers service has a drop-in service that is tailored to meet my needs."
"Careers services are great and we have a careers module on my course."
"Careers services are always there for support and I even found a job through the uni's autumn careers fair in September."
"We have fairs on where various employers and recruiters come down so that we can meet them. We get people coming from all backgrounds, whether it's retail or law. There's extra help from the careers service, including workshops to help with CV preparation and how to improve your interview skills."
