About the institution
The University of Bolton is fairly small with approximately 11,000 students. Its campus is in the middle of the town with easy access to the train station from which students can reach the nearby city of Manchester within half an hour, or travel to the Lake District or Liverpool within an hour. In 2013 the university opened Bolton One, a purpose-built health, leisure and research centre designed for both recreation and teaching and offering everything from a climbing wall to a clinical simulation suite.
