Teesside University

Diverse backgrounds

Please let us know whether you think your university does enough to attract and cater for students from a diverse range of backgrounds?

2016

"There's a programme where students from Norway, African countries, China and Hong Kong come to study their third year here and sometimes their second year too. It's a very popular programme and you're bound to meet some people from it during your time at university. There's also an international student society where students can come and talk to English volunteers about any issues they're having and exchange culture, as well as practise their English skills if they wish."
"Yes, it offers days for international students."
"Definitely, I have made many friends from various backgrounds and they all seem happy with the university."
"We have a great mix of ages, backgrounds, races etc including many international students."
"I believe that they encourage people from a lot of different ethnic, economic and educational backgrounds to attend the university. However, I do think there could be more events to integrate different cultures into student life."
"I believe international students here rate Teesside very highly."
"Very diverse. We have students from all over the world."
"It seems to be pretty diverse so I guess they must be doing enough. It may partly be because of the location though."
