About the institution

The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, based in London, offers degrees in acting, voice, movement, design, production, drama and applied theatre.

It was founded in 1906 and was originally called The Central School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art. In 2005 Central became a college of the University of London and Queen Elizabeth II conferred royal title on the school in 2012. Some degrees are accredited by Drama UK. Famous alumni include Dame Judi Dench and Graham Norton.
