"There is a vast amount of information, though it is a very impersonal service and it can sometimes be difficult to digest all the information in a short time period. This can make your choices for a career path a bit difficult."
"I haven't found the careers service that helpful. There are good links to guest speakers through my course."
"The careers services have been good to me. I have chosen a course that provides two industrial placements (pending market conditions in the oil and gas industry). I have undertaken a 14-week placement during the summer as a subsea engineer for a world-leading drilling company. This should hopefully lead onto a second placement and then a job."
"There is an on-site placement office in the business school and alumni are quite involved within the uni. The lecturers are always sharing placement, work experience and job opportunities with students."
"The careers service is very helpful. However, the careers fairs don't offer much for science students."
"Careers services help with CVs and cover letters. They also email you prospective jobs and have a drop-in service."
