About the institution
The Open University is the UK’s largest university and the only one dedicated to distance learning. Its headquarters are based in Milton Keynes. Most of the courses have no formal entry requirements, as the university believes the qualifications students have upon leaving are ‘the only ones that matter’. Students receive support from regionally based tutors and peer support online from students and alumni. Fees vary but most students take 60 credits a year for six years at £2,700 a year.
