About the institution
The Hull York Medical School (HYMS) is a partnership between the two universities as well as with the NHS, allowing students to benefit from the different clinical experiences they would gain at each university. Students are based either in Hull or York for their first two years of study, but follow the same curriculum and have access to facilities at both universities. In year three to five they undertake placements at a range of NHS sites including York, Hull, Scunthorpe and Grimsby.
