About the institution

Goldsmiths is based in New Cross, South East London, and has been part of the University of London since 1904. It offers a vast selection of courses; however, Goldsmiths is particularly renowned for its creativity and its art and design courses are regarded as among the best in the UK. Notable alumni include singer and songwriter Katy B, Turner Prize winner Damien Hirst, and filmmaker and artist Steve McQueen, director of 12 Years a Slave.
