Please comment on the support you’ve had from the careers services, the type of employers that present and recruit on campus, the effectiveness of the alumni network, as well as fairs and on-campus recruitment activity.
"There is a lot of support at DMU but I don't think they promote it as well as they could. I received a lot of support this year when searching for a placement. The business and law faculty is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in studying a course here."
"Great support. There are always careers presentations and events as well as lots of workshops for CV writing and interview skills. I also managed to get a 12-month placement with the help of the careers service."
"The placement I was able to get was most useful."
"Some of the modules that I have done really focus a lot on employability and CV development."
"There have been plenty of fairs. They also provide a Front runner scheme within the uni where you gain experience in the particular field you want to work in and get paid for it."
"I didn't get much help and the sessions can sometimes be scheduled during holidays."
"They helped me with my CV and cover letter."
"The placement team will look at your CV and see how to make it better. An employability week takes place twice a year where you can be involved in workshops to prepare for interviews, online tests, CV and cover letter writing and more."
