About the institution
De Montfort University (DMU) is based in Leicester city centre and named after the city’s 6th Earl, Simon de Montfort. In 2014 it was ranked in the top 25 universities for employability. One way in which the university helps students build their employability is by encouraging community engagement. University schemes such as the Square Mile programme and #DMUlocal offer students projects and volunteering roles to help others across the city. Meanwhile, #DMUglobal offers students the chance to take their studies abroad.
