About the institution
Cardiff University is the only Welsh university to belong to the research-led Russell Group. Based in one of the UK’s more affordable cities, it has two campuses: Cathays Park, which has tree-lined avenues and elegant Portland stone buildings dating back to 1909, and Heath Park, which is dedicated to healthcare and is on the same site as the University Hospital of Wales. Cardiff has plenty of culture and international sporting venues to offer as well as easy access to the coast and countryside.
