Clubs and social environment

Please tell us more about the social environment, sports clubs and societies and anything else you think candidates need to know about life at your university.

2016

"Lots of sports activities to choose from like basketball and football etc. There are also lots societies that organise their own events."
"There are so many different sports clubs and societies for all tastes. I'm part of the women's rugby and all the girls are so welcoming and friendly (no bitchiness or gossiping) and it has a real team spirit so I've made some great friends. Some people were completely new to the sport in September and ended up playing varsity, so all capabilities are welcome!"
"There are loads of societies to sign up for, ranging from rugby/hockey to more obscure ones such as the bar school or even a gliding club."
"A lot of sports clubs and societies at university. Plus, if there is not a club or society you like, you can make it yourself with funding from the university."
"There are many gyms and sport clubs, although they can be very expensive. However, you can get a fresher's discount if you sign up before the first month."
"So many activities and clubs are available."
