What are the best things about studying at your university?
"I learned a lot and met a fantastic group of international students."
"Campuses are easy to reach and the town is an hour's walk away, with the beach being a 45-minute walk from town. The nightlife is great too. The support from lecturers and from the union is brilliant."
"I've had a high level of teaching, met some great friends and enjoyed a fantastic social life."
"The halls are in the town centre so close to shops, restaurants, public transport, the train station and nightclubs. Also, the beach is a 10-minute walk away from all Lansdowne halls. You get a free bus pass in your first year to use on the frequent uni buses as well as some others that go to nearby Poole. There's a very helpful library on campus and a very good help service over the phone for out-of-office hours if you need assistance. The learning facilities are good overall, there are sports fields nearby and also a massive green park just across the road. Another thing that BU students love is the on-campus Dylan's Bar! It's open from breakfast till late, serves a variety of food for decent prices and also serves alcohol during the day."
"The extracurricular opportunities offered to help me gain practical experience in my field of study. These included volunteering in the UK and receiving bursaries to help fund CPD courses as a reward for volunteer hours, volunteering abroad, ten-month industrial work placement opportunities and support with writing CVs, covering letters and applying for jobs. Some of the course units are fantastic and very relevant to the field and Bournemouth in general is a great place to be a student."
"The nightlife, student events, equipment and facilities."
"The location and the quality of my course."
"I like the common areas at my university. They have created buildings that are suitable for doing coursework and group projects but, because of the atmosphere, it makes me feel more relaxed than a library or a normal study room."
"The impressive amount of work experience everyone has under their belts and great extracurricular opportunities."
"It's a creative place and lecturers are diverse and experts in their fields."
"Great student union, great location and buildings with more on the way. I feel at home here and have a great course with placement opportunities."
"Industry contacts and the fact that the modules on my course are relevant to the real world, not just academic."
"The placement opportunities, nightlife and location."
"The industry links and facilities at Bournemouth are some of the best in the country."
"You can get extra qualifications all included in the price."
"All of the other students are friendly and down to earth, the beach is only a few minutes away and the social scene is great."
"The location by the sea. Very good student's union with plenty of clubs and societies."
"While Bournemouth wasn't my first choice, it has proven to be a perfect location. There is a great buzz in the town centre with something always being on. The diversity of the town is also ideal for me. It provides for an excellent social life, which I think is vital at university! The university campus itself is also great. It was very easy to navigate and all the facilities are of a high standard."
