About the institution
Bangor University is situated between the mountains and the sea. In the NSS 2015 survey, Bangor was voted top in Wales for student satisfaction and was named one of the cheapest places to be a student in Britain. Of particular note is the university’s MRI scanner, a multi-media language centre and its natural history museum. It also has a research ship for training students studying marine science. Membership of the Students’ Union’s clubs and societies is free of charge for students.
