The employers that school students most want to work for
Get inspiration from our survey of the top 100 employers that school students in the UK say they’d most like to work for.

Each year GTI Media’s research arm, trendence, asks school and college students which employers they are most attracted to working for. In 2015 trendence surveyed nearly 9,000 pupils – you can see the results below.

Of the students surveyed, 63% were female and 37% were male; 91% were state educated and 9% were from fee-paying institutions. The majority were aged 13 to 18.

Of course, we don’t recommend that young people make their career decisions on the basis of which employers are most popular among their peers. However, if you have a child or pupil who is struggling to get started thinking about careers, it should help generate ideas and make a handy starting point for talking through possible options.

You can find out more about the survey and read about the careers of some of the employees at these organisations in The 100 Most Popular Employers for School Leavers. If you’d like to download a copy from targetcareers.co.uk you’ll need to register.
