An engineering apprenticeship within the Unilever supply chain is a gateway to a dynamic career. You will be involved first-hand in helping our business thrive sustainably through the 400+ household brands we produce every day. By joining our engineering team as an apprentice, you will become part of our inclusive community of over 8000 of the most highly skilled engineers worldwide, spanning across 320+ factories. Working together, supporting each other, and implementing the latest technology and design to build ground-breaking solutions and innovations.

Apprentices will work in one of Unilever’s factories, alongside a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for optimising the running and maintenance of equipment.

Unilever works in partnership with the University of Sheffield (an elite Russell Group university) and the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) to deliver engineering apprenticeship programmes. This partnership offers Unilever engineering apprentices the opportunity to experience a real-world manufacturing environment and gain hands-on experience of equipment used every day in industry. Apprentices will build the knowledge, skills and on-job experience required whilst also working towards nationally recognised qualifications.

Completing a Unilever engineering apprenticeship programme is a way to earn as you learn and fire-up your career.

What will I be doing?

Chemical Engineering apprentices will work as part of the Advanced Manufacturing Centre pilot plant team in Unilever Research & Development Post Sunlight, delivering high quality product innovations to support Unilever's Home and Personal Care category innovation programmes. While doing this they will study part time at the Unilever of Chester towards a BEng degree in chemical engineering.
