Marketing Apprenticeship programme

Few insurance brands are as iconic as Lloyd’s. For over three centuries the Lloyd’s market has been providing the specialist insurance cover needed to empower human progress. Originally created to insure shipping ventures, Lloyd’s has covered arctic explorers, aid organisations and space missions, as well as current risk such as cyber and terrorism. Yet we’re not complacent. In today’s competitive world, we need to continually build, develop and promote the unique benefits of our marketplace.

Our Marketing Apprenticeship programme has been designed to help you learn everything there is to know about promoting a brand across the globe. During your 15 months with us, you’ll gain a 360° perspective of our marketing activities.

What you’ll be doing

Throughout this programme you’ll help take the Lloyd’s brand to exciting new places by shaping our messaging and delivering compelling campaigns. As this programme is on a rotational basis, you’ll enjoy great variety during the 15 months you’re here, building your skills and experience in marketing.

What you’ll gain from us

This Apprenticeship programme will empower you to get your career off to a flying start. Everything is geared towards helping you to achieve your best. This includes tailoring each placement to make the experience as rich as possible, comprehensive training in interpersonal skills, and funding and support towards gaining a qualification relevant to your specialism.

As an Apprentice you’ll earn a competitive salary of £18,650. You’ll also receive 25 days’ holiday, private medical cover, access to our subsidised restaurant, season ticket travel loans, and a £200 clothes allowance to meet our dress code.

What you’ll need

First of all, we’re looking for people with a genuine interest in what we do. Of course, you won’t be an expert in insurance but you will be able to show us why you’re interested in Lloyd’s. You should have a sense of commercial awareness, good analytical skills and enjoy working with other people. In terms of qualifications you will need 3 A-levels or equivalent in any subject (grade C or above), and you will have GCSE Maths and English (grade C or higher) or equivalent.
