Working at the forefront of vehicle technology, you will be supporting test developments to existing models, help build entirely new experimental concepts, contribute to the building of bespoke vehicles, assisting the launch of new models and maintaining the marketing fleet. Your role could range from working with Powertrain on development of current engines and the control and reduction of emissions to meet ever changing regulations.
Opportunities exist in developing and testing chassis, body and electrical components so they meet the high requirements and expectations of our customers. The testing of vehicles so that they perform to, and exceed, customer expectations is another essential area of technical support. You will develop a variety of knowledge, skills and high performance occupational behaviours, so that you can play your part in the product creation of our next generation of vehicles.

Product design & Development
Working at the forefront of vehicle technology, you’ll support test developments to existing models or help build entirely new experimental concepts. You’ll develop the flexibility to work with mechanical and electrical components, whilst learning traditional hand fitting and machining skills.
What to Expect
You will undertake a modern apprenticeship under the auspices of the Trailblazer standards. This exciting programme will develop your practical skills and cultivate the knowledge required for your particular role in the business. This is all achieved whilst developing your behaviours, as we are not just interested in what you accomplish, but the manner in which you do it.
Together with invaluable commercial and practical experience, you’ll gain a number of academic and vocational qualifications throughout your time with us, which are fully paid for by us, including:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (route specific)
- Level 3 Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
Expect to achieve a BTEC Level 3 Diploma, NVQs relevant to your specific job and top class on-the-job training that will support and focus you on becoming highly competent to deliver in the role.
What you'll need
You’ll need Maths (higher paper) and English Language GCSE C Grade or Grade 4-9 or above. In addition you will need three GCSE’s (or equivalent) including Science, Engineering or Technology at C Grade or above, or as an alternative, Engineering Vocational qualification Level 3 of 90 credit value (540 GLH).
