School Leavers' Challenge

School Leavers' Challenge

Who is it for?

Any student in years 12 and 13 or at an FE College

Why should I take part?

You may make it to the Grand Final and have the chance to compete for the main prize, but even if you don’t the online tests mirror those used by many leading companies as part of their application process so it's great practice! Also, everyone who takes part will receive a personalised report detailing your top three strengths and explaining how you can use these when planning your career.

How long does it take?

In total you need around 45 mins to complete the online registration form and the two online tests

What is the overall prize?

The winner will walk away with the title of the 2017 Schools Leavers’ Challenge winner and a rather nice trophy, and once again get the chance to visit BT’s Research and Development Headquarters. See here for further details and find out how last year’s winners got on.

Do I have to complete the tests in one go?

Yes, once you have submitted your registration form you have to complete both tests to receive a score.

Do I have to register with TARGETcareers before I take the challenge?

Yes, your registration is part of the form. If you are already registered with TARGETcareers just log in and your details will be added instantly.

Can I take the tests more than once?

No, you can only take the tests once.

Can I take the tests on my laptop?

Can I take the tests on my mobile device?

Unfortunately, no. The tests are not available via mobile phone or tablet.

What if my school isn’t listed?

Not a problem. Contact us and we will add your School.

How long do I have to take part?

The challenge closes in March.

What happens if I don’t make the top 100?

Everyone who takes part will receive a personalised report which tells you your top three strengths and how you can use these when planning your career.

My computer froze during the tests; what can I do?

If you have any technical issues during the process contact us via the online form and we will help you.
